- ➤ A nearly mile-long line of 'No Kings' protesters marched on US-41 from the Holiday Inn to Comfort Suites in Marquette Saturday morning—organizers asked for donations of food and cleaning supplies to aid local pantries amid the government shutdown. Upper Michigan's Source

- ➤ On Saturday, the Marquette Regional History Center held its 13th Archaeology Fair where community members of all ages celebrated International Archaeology Day with a scavenger hunt and hands-on activities. - ➤ Marquette art galleries on Third, Washington and Front Streets hosted special demos and displays during a biannual art tour last Saturday — an event that highlighted local talent. - ➤ 37-year-old Dan Shirley from Philly raced his car 'War Weasel' at the Lake Superior Performance Rally in Ishpeming. - ➤ Northern Michigan University set a program record by rushing for 538 yards in its 42-21 win over the Roosevelt Lakers on Saturday afternoon. - ➤ NMU volleyball swept the Ashland Eagles in a 3—0 win on Saturday—25—19, 25—21, and 25—13—with Madison York scoring a career-high 15 kills. The team will host Grand Valley State and Wayne State next week as they improved to an 8—11 record. WZMQ 19
