Marquette Women’s Center was chosen as one of hundreds of nonprofits to join Rocket Mortgage’s nationwide Rocket Community Challenge to raise funds for survivors of domestic and sexual violence+ the challenge offers prize donations up to $25,000.

The center will have a donation booth with QR codes at the Classic Cars and Vintage Bikes Show on Aug. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.+ the fundraiser ends on Aug. 29.

The Lake Superior Community Partnership is hosting a series of events this month to help local businesses network and promote their services in Marquette County.

The events include a Business After Hours at Ore Dock Brewing Company on August 20 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.—a NMU Fall Fest on August 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.—and a Partner Engagement Grill & Chill in Negaunee on August 27 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
