The Marquette Maritime Museum is hosting its family friendly Annual Lake Superior Day on Sunday, July 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. in its parking lot, where a compost demonstration by Partridge Creek Farm and a display on invasive species by Great Lakes Fisheries will show how to protect the lake—inviting local community members to get involved.

Marquette’s Mariucci Family Beacon House received a $7K donation from the Manistique Women’s Club after its May 'Purses with a Purpose' event helped 500 Schoolcraft County families—club co-chair Julie Barr said a club member who stayed at the house inspired the fundraiser.

Marquette-based Kall Morris Inc. successfully tested its space technology on the International Space Station— a mechanical system that grabs objects without a docking port to help service satellites.
