NTN crews and volunteers cleaned Forestville Trails on Thursday to remove winter debris ahead of the summer season.

The 150-mile trail network needs more cleaning before events begin, and local residents may volunteer (details on the NTN website).

Oberstar Inc. is restoring a concrete crosswalk at the Lakeshore Boulevard intersection, so East Washington Street from Front Street to Lakeshore will be closed until Monday morning, May 11.

Pedestrians may use the north sidewalk and eastbound vehicles will follow a detour along Front, Main and Lakeshore Boulevard.

UP Health System Marquette has added Christopher Omerza, MD, to its surgical team.
