Brian and Molly Wallen will perform a family-friendly concert at the Peter White Public Library Community Room in Marquette on Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Their set will feature close-knit harmonies, storytelling and inspiration.

Michigan aims for 100% clean energy by 2040 — experts say funding cuts, project delays and the loss of federal tax credits may slow progress.
Utilities are expected to file integrated resource plans soon to clarify future plans.

Gov. Whitmer and Lt. Gov. Gilchrist issued a proclamation today recognizing February as Black History Month in Michigan to honor Black Americans' cultural, historical, and economic contributions statewide (officials said the month invites reflection on shared history and a commitment to equal rights).

Dr. Wes Youngberg, a clinical nutritionist, will present Diabetes Undone at Marquette Seventh-day Adventist Church (270 E.
U.S. 41, Negaunee) on Friday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served Saturday; call 906-475-4488 to RSVP as seating is limited.
The Red Cross held a blood drive at Messiah Lutheran Church & will hold its next drive on April 2 at the same church.

In Engadine on Sunday, 16 mushers and their sled dogs completed the unique 2026 Hiawatha Heritage Dog Sled Race on twisty-turny trails on private property + race proceeds supported community services through the Hiawatha Sportsman’s Club Foundation.
