On Saturday, November 22, local families in the UP received free Thanksgiving meals from the CLK Council of Churches as 30 volunteers served 300 turkeys and sides donated by the Keweenaw Health Foundation—this effort helped support those facing financial struggles.

Alpha Michigan Brewing Co. in Alpha is running a promotion where anyone who donates four non-perishable food items gets $1 off a pint of beer until November 30 (all donations benefit the St. Vincent De Paul Guardian Angels Food Pantry in Crystal Falls).
