- ➤ Forsyth Township community held its tenth and final tea party fundraiser last Saturday at Little Lake Chapel—13 models showcased dresses from the 1920s to the 2020s—and organizers raised funds for the local library's support. Upper Michigan's Source
- ➤ Veterans took part in the Aspen Thunder Veterans Hunt Saturday in U.P. woodlands, where 16 veterans and two active duty personnel scoured for grouse — an event designed to build community and ease stress. - ➤ NMU’s women’s cross country team won first place at the Royals Challenge in Charlotte on Friday evening—defeating 18 teams with a 39-to-47 score. Runner Madi Szymanski set a new personal best with a third-place finish in the team’s first 5K race—while teammates Ashley Choponis and Emma Sweeney also finished in the top 10. WZMQ 19
- ➤ In the Buckeyes’ series opener, Ohio State defeated NMU 5-2 as Peter Cisar and Michael Burchill scored their first collegiate goals — Felix Caron led with two goals and two assists, helping to secure the win. The Wildcats struggled on power plays and game two is set for 5 p.m. tomorrow at Value City Arena. WZMQ 19
- ➤ NMU men’s soccer team beat 17th-ranked SVSU 1-0 at home with a goal from Luca Rosen—his fourth in five games. The Wildcats overcame a red card during the second half and held off pressure—preparing to face the Davenport Panthers at 12 p.m. today. WZMQ 19
