NAMA mushroom enthusiasts gathered at NMU’s Northern Center in Marquette to hunt, taste, and analyze mushrooms before sending them to Chicago for preservation.

The event was held exclusively for association members and underscored how easy it is to explore this unique hobby.

Hundreds of dogs are competing at the Marquette Dog Show in Sands Township as judges from around the globe evaluated breed contests and special events on Friday, with golden retriever Jimmy taking Best of Breed.

The show will conclude Sunday with the American Kennel Club National Owner-Handler Series.
