- ➤ The Upper Peninsula now has five certified radon contractors—a 67% increase from last year—with two new companies in Au Train and Ishpeming joining after a radon training course held in Marquette last September. Residents now have more certified options to test and lower radon levels in their homes. The Mining Journal
- ➤ Fall turkey licenses are now on sale in Iron Mountain for the Upper Peninsula, with 2,200 permits available on a first-come—first-served basis. Hunters can buy one license per year valid for one turkey from Sept. 15 through Nov. 14 at license agents, online, or via the DNR Hunt Fish app. The Mining Journal
