Sergeant Robert James Goldsworthy — missing since Dec.
17, 1944 — was identified by DNA testing and honored with a ceremonial funeral on Aug. 16 at Maple Hill Cemetery in his hometown of Lake Linden.

Cheryl Anderegg uncovered where 23 family homes moved in the 1980s now stand after the hospital expanded.
A free presentation with photos, maps and research will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Marquette Regional History Center as part of the Senior Support Series.

UP Health System–Marquette earned a High Performing rating from U.S. News and World Report for back surgery and pacemaker implantation based on strong quality outcomes; fewer than half of thousands of hospitals nationwide achieved this top distinction.

On Saturday, Aug. 8, MI-TRALEs held the 2026 Equine Camp 'N' Ride in the Courtney Lake Recreation Area in the Ottawa National Forest as part of the UPTHA Mitten Challenge.
Riders from Minnesota, Wisconsin + Michigan enjoyed rides, a potluck dinner, and scenic trails.
