  • On Sunday morning, golfers played an 18-hole scramble at Wawonowin Country Club to raise funds for affordable housing. HBA CEO Sarah Foster said the event usually raises between $5,000 and $10,000 to support efforts to address the housing shortage.  Upper Michigan's Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • Nonprofit Undue Medical Debt held a Zoom presentation on Sunday morning in the U.P. to show how it buys medical debt at a low cost so it can erase millions owed—its fundraiser with Keweenaw Indivisible raised about 24,000 and will use donations to close 3 million in debt as contributions remain open until August 15.  Upper Michigan's Source
