🎭 Culture
Marquette's 66th Annual Art on the Rocks ended on Sunday at the lower harbor with over 100 artists showcasing crafts and drawing 8,000+10,000 visitors, while Wisconsin-based painter Andy Van Schyndle earned Best of Show.
Local U.P. artists said the Outback Art Fair in Marquette was a success on Sunday.
Booths displayed sculptures, jewelry and pottery, and artist Madeline Goodman noted higher attendance than last year + strong community support.
Marquette's Women's Federated Clubhouse (104 W.
Ridge St.) will mark its 100th anniversary with events starting July 31. The venue features a silent film era program at 7 p.m. on July 31 and a high tea at noon plus a celebration party at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 1.

The League of Women Voters in Marquette is hosting ‘Unite & Rise for Voting Rights’ Day of Action on Aug.
8 to help boost voter turnout ahead of midterms; a virtual pep rally is set for Aug. 6 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
