Lake Superior Community Partnership will host its Breakfast & Business event on Friday, July 31 at the Holiday Inn, with a 7:30 a.m. breakfast buffet and an 8:00 a.m. panel on local media.
Registration costs $25 for partners and $35 for others.
🎭 Culture
Shakespeare in Margaritaville offers a fresh twist on 'As You Like It' by the Superior Shakespeare Company at the Lake Superior Theatre.
The production runs Tuesday, July 21 through Friday, July 24 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for Dancing with Our Stars Marquette County Style event go on sale starting Monday.
The one-night show (A Night Under the Big Top) will be held on Oct. 8 at Kaufman Auditorium with tickets costing $50 each.
Relatives honored miners from the Barnes-Hecker disaster during a Sunday cemetery tour in Ishpeming.
Memorial events will include a Nov. 1 service at Bethany Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m., a Nov. 2 candlelight vigil, and Nov. 3 bell ringing to mark the centennial.

Engadine Consolidated Schools received an $8.15M grant from the Michigan Department of Education to improve heating, ventilation, roofing and other aging infrastructure, and they will update families and staff as planning moves forward (engaging students and community).
