- ➤ The Blueberry Festival will be held on Friday, July 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at West Washington Street and South Front Street, with street closures expanding to Baraga Avenue to allow over 120 vendors and 10 musicians. Michael Bradford of the Marquette Downtown Development Authority advised locals to leave dogs at home due to hot and rough ground + the festival will celebrate local food, merchandise, and music. - ➤ Superior Alliance for Independent Living will celebrate the ADA's 35th anniversary this Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. at Burns Landing Historic Park Pavilion in Big Bay—after recent upgrades improved parking, restrooms and the boardwalk. - ➤ Governor Whitmer announced on July 14 that InvestUP in the Upper Peninsula will receive $1.6 million from the Michigan Innovation Fund, which was set up with bipartisan support to boost local entrepreneurship.
