Emily Jensen, daughter of David and Kristine Jensen, recently earned a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from MSU (she focused on supporting children with disabilities and their caregivers) and now works as an inclusion consultant on an early childhood curriculum (she is seeking a tenure-track academic position).
Former dean Dr. Christine Greer filed a notice of intent to sue NMU for alleged age and sex discrimination by former president Brock Tessman—she claims her termination was used as a false reason to replace her with an underqualified man—and NMU said it engaged a third-party investigator that found no wrongdoing while Tessman departs for Montana State University. There is no court date set for the lawsuit.
Bothwell Middle School has named 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to its Honor Roll for Semester 2 of the 2024-2025 school year—students were recognized for their academic achievements.
