- ➤ Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift will partner with Feeding America West Michigan to host a drive-thru mobile food pantry event on Thursday, July 10 at 219 Silver Creek Road in Harvey — food will be distributed starting at 10 a.m. and will last until supplies run out or until 11:30 a.m., serving about 550 families as guests remain in their cars. - ➤ A Wisconsin non-profit raised funds on Friday outside Lume Cannabis in Iron Mountain by selling brats and burgers to support training service dogs for veterans with mental health struggles and first responders—its proceeds will expand service into the U.P.— and it will continue fundraising across Dickinson County until August. - ➤ The public is invited to join the Jeannie Kangas Memorial Wine Tasting at Negaunee VFW Post 3165 on Tuesday, July 8, from 6-9 p.m. Ticket holders will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, basket raffles, and Brad Brownell's entertainment starting at 7 p.m. — tickets cost $20 and the venue is at 208 Gold St. in downtown Negaunee.
