- ➤ Today, the Marquette Bald Eagle Harley-Davidson dealership is hosting the Harley Owners Group Rally with a bike procession starting at NMU Dome this morning and a social event at Marquette Commons at 7 p.m.—HOG community members can test ride new bikes while future rallies will require membership. - ➤ The Kiwanis Club of Marquette announced it is seeking volunteers & crossing guards to help manage crowd control along the parade route for the 4th of July parade, which will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4. Sunny 101.9

- ➤ Tree-Ripe Fruit Co.—a Milwaukee company—makes two summer trips through the Upper Peninsula and will bring fresh Georgia peaches, pecans, and New Mexico pistachios to customers. In Marquette, it will stop at Westwood Mall from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. today as later stops are planned in Ishpeming and Kingsford. WZMQ 19

- ➤ Dinsimore Robinson—an Alabama man involved in an international sextortion scheme linked to the death of teenager Jordan Demay—was sentenced on June 12 in Grand Rapids and will serve three years probation while paying $47,523.78 to Demay’s parents. Upper Michigan's Source

- ➤ Today, the fifth annual Presque Isle Art Fair takes place in front of the Presque Isle Studios from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.—about 30 local vendors will sell food, art, and live music to kick off Marquette's art fair season. Upper Michigan's Source
- ➤ Menominee tribal researchers and Dartmouth College officials uncovered ancient agricultural ridges in UP forests dating back 1,000 years—showing early indigenous farming practices. They hope further work will reveal evidence of a historical settlement in the area. Upper Michigan's Source

- ➤ Travel Marquette launched Collect Marquette, a digital passport program that rewards people for picking up trash at 22 scenic spots, replacing gloves and trash bags at its office. Participants fill a bag with trash then return it for a tote bag and a chance to win one of three $150 gift cards — the initiative runs until the end of summer — aiming to keep the county clean.
