The Great Lakes Rodeo celebrated its 20th anniversary this Father's Day weekend in Gwinn with 150 participants enjoying barrel races and family support, while organizers raised funds for local youth programs — underscoring long-standing community ties.

Marquette County Habitat for Humanity hosted its first Pride Build this weekend in Harvey as dozens of volunteers of all identities helped build an affordable home.

Community Programs Director Henry Morley said the event focused on creating a safer, more inclusive community — a goal for all Habitat efforts.

Thousands attended Fun Daze today at Peter Nordeen Park as the Gwinn Lions Club hosted a day-long celebration—featuring a parade, antique motor show, live music, craft stalls, and food vendors—to raise funds for community projects.
