On Friday, Embers Credit Union staff (over 140 participants) volunteered in local projects as part of their fourth annual Light Up Communities Day, repainting Hurley Park, clearing trails with Adventure Team 906, and cleaning the State Fair Grounds.

The event reflects the credit union’s commitment to community engagement.

Marquette Arts & Music Wellness Lions Club will mark its first anniversary on Wednesday, June 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Blackrocks Brewery with musical performances, local art, and a fundraiser benefiting Northwoods Air Lifeline.

Mather celebrated its official grand opening after its tap room renovation on Monday in downtown Ishpeming.

Supported by Lake Superior Community Partnership and a Build MI Community grant, the renovated space now offers wood-fired pizzas, sliders, salads and 16 beers along with the return of its famous birdbath.

The Daniel J. Kobasic Foundation announced a $1.4M investment for Build U.P.'s CTE Housing Partnership in Escanaba to support construction trades programs and job site training for 160 students across several communities.

The funding will expand housing projects and create growth opportunities for local suppliers.
