Feeding America West Michigan hosted a mobile food pantry at Silver Creek Church (219 Silver Creek Rd., Harvey) on Thursday, providing food assistance to local residents.

Food distribution began at 10 a.m. and ended at 11:30 a.m. or when supplies ran out.

The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter invites pet lovers to enter photos for the 2027 Pet Photo Calendar Contest while raising funds for local homeless animals.

Entries cost $10 until June 30 and public voting at $1 per vote runs from July 1 to 31 (each vote helps support animal care).

Fox Marquette held its first Drive For Your Community event yesterday, donating $30 for each test drive toward Habitat for Humanity with contributions up to $6,000.
