  • Today, Memorial Day is observed in Marquette when American Legion Post 44 holds services at Holy Cross Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. and Park Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.—with refreshments following the latter and a 1:30 p.m. ceremony at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans. In Negaunee, VFW Post 3165 will lead a parade at 10 a.m.—proceeding to memorial services at 11 a.m. and a cookout afterward.  Upper Michigan's Source

  • On Sunday, the second Geoff and Jon’s Record Show ended at Ore Dock Brewing Company with 10,000 records driven in from Detroit to boost the local music community—another show in July will offer even more selections.  Upper Michigan's Source

  • On Sunday, bikers in Marquette traded leather for suits & ties to ride in support of men's physical and mental health during the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. The event raised $850 and brought together riders to discuss issues like prostate cancer and suicide.  Upper Michigan's Source
