- ➤ Marquette’s rustic Kona Hills Campground held its soft opening and ribbon cutting Friday morning—community members and supporters celebrated the 40 secluded campsites set across 80 acres at the Lake Superior Overlook on US-41. - ➤ Trillium House will benefit from three summer events in Marquette County that aim to raise funds for its programs. The first event is the Dale Watson Pre-Party at Strega Nonna in Negaunee on June 19—featuring the Flat Broke Blues Band—followed by a Harley Owner’s Group Downtown Marquette Party on June 27 and a special show with Texas Troubador Dale Watson on July 13. - ➤ Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is holding its first motorcycle ride in Marquette on Sunday at noon at Presque Isle Park to raise funds and awareness for men’s mental health.
