- ➤ Survivors of sexual or domestic assault will work with professional musicians at the Marquette Women’s Center and Northwoods Music Collaborative to create custom lullabies. The free and confidential workshops will be held June 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center+each participant will receive a copy of their lullaby after a concluding concert. - ➤ TEAM Riders, a nonprofit group, worked Friday on grading surfaces, improving drainage and replacing trail signs along the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. The group—founded 14 years ago—also holds club rides and builds new ORV trails for local riders. Upper Michigan's Source
- ➤ The City of Marquette will host a free Bike Rodeo and Safety Fair for children ages 5 to 12 on May 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Marquette Police Department at City Hall at 300 West Baraga Avenue, and registration is required with a rain day set for June 1. Sunny 101.9
- ➤ On Friday, law enforcement officers in Marquette, Menominee, Iron Mountain, and Houghton held a Dunkin’ Cop on a Rooftop fundraiser from 6 a.m. to noon to collect donations for the Special Olympics—early gifts reached half of the $1,000 goal for travel costs. Upper Michigan's Source
