ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Emergency crews are responding to a rollover crash on County Road 550 in Marquette Township just south of Phil’s 550 store — traffic slowed heading north toward Big Bay as multiple agencies have arrived and it is not yet known if anyone was hurt. Upper Michigan's Source

- ➤ Ishpeming Public Schools named inductees to the 2025 Halls of Excellence, honoring TV6's Don Ryan for his long service in media and community work. - ➤ Emma Arbelius, a young accountant from Marquette, earned the 2025 Michigan Works! Impact Award for her summer internship at Kall Morris Inc. — she built key accounting skills at the aerospace firm and was recognized by state officials. Upper Michigan's Source
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ After ending its spring grant cycle on May 7, the Superior Health Foundation awarded over $325,000 to 12 organizations in the Upper Peninsula for health and wellness projects. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Marquette will host the annual South Shore Fishing Shootout on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. near Mattson Lower Harbor Park on Lake Superior. The South Shore Fishing Association said the event will feature all-inclusive categories — covering total and largest catches of salmon, lake trout, steelhead and brown trout, with updated handicap access and weigh-ins at 3 p.m. Upper Michigan's Source
