- ➤ U.P. Vietnam War veterans left Escanaba on Wednesday to fly to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials and honor their service. They returned Wednesday evening to a cheering crowd that welcomed them home. Upper Michigan's Source

ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Five buildings in Marquette, Negaunee, and Ishpeming have been selected to receive a $536,000 MEDC grant (50%) for facade improvements, with local owners adding private funds and work expected to begin in summer. - ➤ On Monday local beekeepers gathered at Stag Farms in Breitung Township to collect roughly 3 million honey bees from Hansen Honey—most being Italian honey bees along with Carniolan and Saskatraz varieties that will help revive fallen hives and boost pollination for gardens and crops.
