- ➤ Community members bowled sober in Ishpeming on Sunday at River Rock Lanes to celebrate the opening of a new recovery house. Superior Connections will host a memorial run on May 17th at the bell tower in Marquette to raise money for sober living—honoring Nick Suardini. Upper Michigan's Source
- ➤ On Sunday, families gathered at Lakenen Land Sculpture Park in Chocolay Township for the 7th annual Sharing Nature with Children, where each child received a free nature book and planted seeds. - ➤ IRON MOUNTAIN — Data from the Michigan Department of Technology shows that the Upper Peninsula jobless rate dropped to 8.1% in March after 300 fewer workers were unemployed compared to February. Marquette’s rate was 7.2% in March and Wayne Rourke noted that regional trends have stayed relatively stable despite higher levels than last year. The Mining Journal
