HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services awarded the Healthy Kids Dental contract to Delta Dental of Michigan to serve approximately 955,000+ children on Medicaid; the five-year contract will begin Thursday, Oct. 1 and aims to improve access to essential dental care across the state. - ➤ Marquette Senior High School baseball split four games downstate this weekend, losing two at Traverse City Central and winning two in Charlevoix; the Sentinels host Superior Central today at 6 p.m. at Haley Memorial Field and will play additional home games this week. The Mining Journal
- ➤ Josie Lakosky broke multiple lacrosse records as NMU beat Saginaw Valley State 22-1 Sunday morning. The junior attacker scored 10 goals and 15 points, setting new marks in ground balls, draw controls and turnovers + nearly matching the assist record as the Wildcats improved their season record.
