  • Taylor and Kaylee Birmann hosted an Easter brunch and egg hunt in Marquette Township today to raise funds for the U.P. Hospice Foundation. They sold 50 more tickets than last year and raised about $4,000 for U.P. Home, Health & Hospice.  Upper Michigan's Source

  • On Saturday, local book lovers previewed Bromley’s Books during its soft opening in Marquette. The new bookstore will celebrate Independent Bookstore Day with special discounts and a tea party at its grand opening on April 26.  Upper Michigan's Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • NMU’s Marquette Ending Hunger organization hosted its first Walk to Fight Hunger on the NMU campus Saturday to raise awareness about food insecurity among college students + local leaders highlighted that the issue also affects other community members.
