  • On Saturday, hundreds of coffee enthusiasts took to Marquette’s streets for the seventh annual Coffee Crawl—raising funds for the Marquette Women’s Center during National Sexual Awareness Month. More tickets were sold than last year—ensuring the event will donate over $7,000 as crawlers sampled brews at 11 local coffee shops.  Upper Michigan's Source
  • Boy Scout Troop 372 from Marquette delivered over 200 bags containing more than 1,700 pounds of food and more than $380 in returnables to St. Vincent De Paul on Saturday afternoon—as part of its fifth annual food and can drive. The troop said it gathered the donated items from local doorsteps and will donate again next year.  Upper Michigan's Source

  • Cove moved from its former spot at Third and Ohio to a new boutique at 110 N. Third St. near Third and Washington—giving the shop extra space for new offerings and improved browsing. The store opened on Saturday and is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Upper Michigan's Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Garden celebrated 75 years on Saturday night at a Decades of Care Gala where guests toured old photos and uniforms. Donations were collected through a raffle—supporting the hospital's ongoing mission to care for the community.  Upper Michigan's Source
