- ➤ Courage Incorporated will host a community fundraiser for physically disabled individuals and veterans at U.P. Brewing Company in Negaunee on Saturday, April 12 from 3pm to 7pm. The event will offer raffle prizes worth thousands with tickets starting at $15 — helping fund camping, fishing, boating, and hiking trips for those in need. WZMQ 19
- ➤ St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Marquette has re-scheduled its Sounds in Sacred Spaces concert for Sunday at 3 p.m. after bad weather delayed the original event, and the church will use the funds raised to repair its 150-year-old building. - ➤ The Superior Watershed Partnership has opened a permanent site for recycling electronic waste such as televisions, computers, phones, and printers. - ➤ Marquette city will switch from sticker-based trash pickup to a cart-only system for solid waste and recycling starting this summer—if a household lacks a 64-gallon cart, one will be provided and pink stickers will no longer be sold at local stores.
