- ➤ On Sunday, Doozers hosted its first community meal in Ishpeming—serving low-cost breakfast options such as scrambled eggs, bacon, and pinto beans—and aimed to bring locals together in a welcoming space on the West End. Upper Michigan's Source
- ➤ On Sunday, 273 people attended the breakfast fundraiser at the Aurora Club in Ironwood provided by Suffolk Street Eatery (adult tickets $14, children $5). - ➤ Local bars battled at Landmark Inn during its 3rd annual Cocktail Competition on Sunday — the event featured spring-break-inspired cocktails from local establishments. - ➤ On Friday, local legislators met with Bay College officials in Escanaba to discuss student housing, the nursing program, and the school’s future. Bay College President Dr. Nerita Hughes said enrollment grew 8% over the planned 3%, but lawmakers were worried about high Super 8 housing costs and the loss of the LPN program accreditation until 2026 — officials said the college will keep its focus on local workforce needs.
