- ➤ Ben Bernard, a DPW Purchasing & Supply Technician, was honored as Employee of the Year by the Kiwanis Club at a weekly meeting at Big Boy in Marquette—he plans to hang the award in his office. Upper Michigan's Source
- ➤ Marquette seniors enjoyed a talent show last Thursday at Brookridge Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care where ten performers sang, danced and played music. Staff played Minute to Win It games with Executive Director Jennifer Legault as part of the Making Memories Campaign — the facility will host a charity giveback event for foster families in April. - ➤ At a dinner held at Bay College, the Hiawathaland District of the Michigan Crossroads Council—Scouting America honored leaders for exemplary service. - ➤ A Marenisco man was arrested for operating while intoxicated causing death after his vehicle rolled over on March 26 at 11:20 p.m. on M-64, ejecting a 45-year-old passenger from Bessemer who died on scene and a 33-year-old who was treated for minor injuries, and he is now held in Gogebic County Jail.
