- ➤ Heavy snow cracked several trusses in the Iron Industry Museum’s main gallery roof in Negaunee Township—8 miles west of Marquette—forcing an indefinite closure while emergency stabilization begins today, with plans to evaluate the roof and safely store artifacts until repairs are complete. - ➤ Cinder Pond Marina sustained significant damage from winter storms including a blizzard on March 15-16 that damaged piers 2 and 3 — city staff are working with the dock manufacturer to assess repairs for the 2026 season while slip holders must renew slips by April 15 and will be refunded if the season is delayed.
