- ➤ Friends of Peter White Library are holding a used book and media sale in the community room of Peter White Public Library to raise money for library programs and book collections. The sale runs today from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.—with a $5 bag sale from 1:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. WZMQ 19
- ➤ The West End Youth Center is hosting a rummage sale today at the Gossard Building second floor from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.—all funds raised will support a new youth complex developed with 4-H and the Boys and Girls Club for countywide programs and activities. WZMQ 19
- ➤ United Way of Marquette County announced a new initiative partnering with DoorDash, United Way Worldwide, Huntington Bank and the Michigan Community Service Commission to deliver food and supplies from local pantries to residents facing transportation challenges—Andrew Rickauer said the program is part of a national campaign to combat hunger. - ➤ The Marquette Police Department announced that a segment of Peter White Drive in Presque Isle Park will be closed to vehicles daily at 8 p.m. from March 17 to May 15—or until the blue-spotted salamander migration ends—to protect the small creatures while visitors continue to walk the park during regular hours.
