- ➤ Friends of Peter White Library are holding a used book and media sale in the community room of Peter White Public Library to raise money for library programs and book collections. The sale runs today from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.—with a $5 bag sale from 1:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. WZMQ 19
- ➤ The West End Youth Center is hosting a rummage sale today at the Gossard Building second floor from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.—all funds raised will support a new youth complex developed with 4-H and the Boys and Girls Club for countywide programs and activities. WZMQ 19
- ➤ United Way of Marquette County announced a new initiative partnering with DoorDash, United Way Worldwide, Huntington Bank and the Michigan Community Service Commission to deliver food and supplies from local pantries to residents facing transportation challenges—Andrew Rickauer said the program is part of a national campaign to combat hunger. The service will help community members without direct access to food pantries receive essential supplies. The Mining Journal

- ➤ On March 13th, Delta County officials rescued six ATV riders during three ice incidents near Red Gate in Kipling (Little Bay de Noc) as warm weather rapidly worsened unsafe ice conditions. WZMQ 19

- ➤ Marquette will host the annual Blue-spotted salamander migration starting Monday; a section of Peter White Drive in Presque Isle Park will close to vehicles nightly at 8:00 p.m. from March 17 until May 15—foot traffic remains allowed for viewers. Upper Michigan's Source
- ➤ The Marquette Police Department announced that a segment of Peter White Drive in Presque Isle Park will be closed to vehicles daily at 8 p.m. from March 17 to May 15—or until the blue-spotted salamander migration ends—to protect the small creatures while visitors continue to walk the park during regular hours. - ➤ U.P. Michigan Works! has summer programs that help youth learn job-seeking skills and explore careers. Director Darren Widder said the agency offers job coaching, work-based learning, and job shadowing—more events will be announced on social media in April. Upper Michigan's Source

- ➤ Northern Michigan's Dylan Kuehl earned a spot on the D2CCA Midwest Region Men's Basketball Second Team after averaging 17.6 points per game in GLIAC contests.
