- ➤ Feeding America West Michigan is hosting a drive-thru food distribution event at Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift in Chocolay Township starting at 10 a.m. Families in need can receive food boxes until supplies run out or until 11:30 a.m. — volunteers will place boxes directly in vehicles. - ➤ The Marquette Polar Plunge will take place at the Up North Lodge events center on Saturday at 4 p.m. where participants will brave ice cold water to raise funds for Special Olympics Michigan. About $14,000 of the $28,000 goal has been raised and registration starts at 2:30 p.m.+ funds will help send athletes to compete both locally and internationally. Upper Michigan's Source

- ➤ A sewer main on Granite Avenue broke and leaked about 100 gallons of sewage on the road, and city crews quickly shut it down—repairs are in progress and the impacted snow is being hauled to a treatment plant. The Mining Journal

- ➤ Dr. Colin Irish and his wife Carrie were arraigned in Marquette on multiple child abuse charges for locking their special needs 10 year old in a closet—Michelle and Linda Maxson were also arrested in connection with neglecting an 8 year old, and all four face a hearing on April 14.
