- ➤ Courage Incorporated will host its fourth annual fundraiser for disabled individuals, veterans + those with chronic illnesses on April 18 at River Rock Lanes banquet center. The event runs from 3 to 7 p.m. and includes raffle prizes to support free outdoor activities. Upper Michigan's Source
- ➤ Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift are teaming up with Feeding America West Michigan to host a mobile food pantry event on Thursday, March 12 at 219 Silver Creek Road in Harvey. Food will be available from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. for about 550 families. WZMQ 19

- ➤ Vendor applications are open for Marquette’s annual Blueberry Festival, which will draw thousands downtown on July 31. Local sellers should act soon to secure a spot at this much-anticipated event. The Mining Journal
- ➤ Disney's 'The Little Mermaid' musical, adapted from Broadway and film, is presented by Superior Arts Youth Theater and Wildcat Performing Arts Academy at Northern Michigan University; performances begin today at 7 p.m. with additional matinees (including a sensory friendly showing at 1 p.m. Saturday). - ➤ The YMCA is launching Sports Specific Training next week for middle and high school students to boost athleticism and mental wellness, with certified trainers designing customized workouts every Monday and Wednesday from March 9 to April 13 + registration closes on March 9. - ➤ The U.S. Forest Service has proposed the Silver Branch Vegetation Management Project in the Ottawa National Forest to clear-cut 1,500 acres and use targeted logging across a 200-square-mile area to reduce wildfire risk and improve habitat, though some local groups worry mature trees and recreational trails may be affected. - ➤ NMU men's basketball beat Ferris State 91 to 62 on Wednesday night — the win marks a record 26 wins — and will host Lake Superior State in the GLIAC Semifinals Saturday, Mar. 7 at 2 p.m. WZMQ 19
