Marquette Regional History Center finished digitizing its largest item — a 13-ft long railroad map from 1855 measuring 104 sqft — after an attendee requested a copy; the digital map will be sent to Negaunee Historical Society and reproductions remain available onsite.

Dancing With Our Stars – Marquette County Style is returning with a reimagined variety show format called A Showcase of Stars, presented by U.P.

Hospice Foundation and U.P. Home Health and Hospice, scheduled for Oct. 8. Local groups will perform high-energy dances and theatrical acts to support Hospice care.

NMU Alpine ski teams defended the USCSA Regional Championship today as the women swept the podium with Springer taking gold and Jaeger winning for the men + the team now prepares for the National Championship from March 9 to 14 at Whiteface Mountain.

Michigan Tech Nordic ski teams finished second at the CCSA Championships on Sunday at Theodore Wirth Park.

Several Huskies earned top finishes in both classic and skate races and now build momentum for the NCAA Championships.

Junior attacker Josie Lakosky is named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring 8 goals + 3 assists in a 20-10 win over Calvin and 7 goals + 2 assists in a 20-4 victory over Northwood.

The Wildcats will host McKendree Bearcats on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 3:00 p.m.

Ryan Anderson won the UP200 race on Sunday in Marquette in 46 hours, 9 minutes and 35 seconds, marking his 10th win.

At Monday morning’s ceremony at the Holiday Inn, Erin Aili earned two sportsmanship awards and Quince Mountain received the Red Lantern Award — cash prizes and trophies.

NMU Wildcats set a new school record in the 4000m distance medley relay when Choponis (Truckey, Harper, and Szymanski) ran 11:44.49 at the GVSU Big Meet this past weekend.

The team earned multiple top-five finishes and will compete at the Parkside Classic in Kenosha on Saturday, Feb. 21.
