- ➤ Forsyth Snowmobile and ATV Club is hosting International Snowmobile Ride Day on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at Gary’s Knotty Pine in Arnold, offering hot chocolate, cookies, snacks, and safety lessons (the club is the only central U.P. host selected). Upper Michigan's Source
- ➤ UPAWS is inviting local animal lovers to nominate exceptional pets and dedicated advocates for the 2026 UPAWS Awards by submitting nominations until March 1. Award winners will be announced on March 20 and celebrated at the Cause for Paws Gala (Saturday, April 9) in Marquette. The Mining Journal
- ➤ Kognisjon Bryggeri will host a fundraiser event tomorrow from 6-9 p.m. to launch Hazel’s Love Potion, a limited edition chocolate stout with part of each pint benefiting UPAWS. - ➤ The Marquette Regional History Center will honor 2025 winners at its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25. Phyllis Wong will receive the Helen Longyear Paul Award and Marquette Federation of Women’s Clubs the Peter White Award, while Blaine Betts and Aspen Murphy earn Lifetime Achievement and Young Historian Awards. - ➤ Yesterday, Operation Action U.P. held its annual meeting in Marquette and InvestUP’s CEO Marty Fittante discussed the aging workforce, regional investment, and the creation of a 50-million-dollar impact fund while announcing a new for-profit seed fund.
