- ➤ The Economic Club of Marquette County held a monthly dinner meeting today at the Holiday Inn where Alison Todak, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation's VP of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, delivered a keynote on how local university partnerships are boosting tech startup growth — fostering closer business ties. - ➤ Gas prices in Michigan rose by 15 cents over the past week, now averaging $2.96 per gallon for regular unleaded, with prices ranging from $2.64 in Menominee County to $3.07 in Mackinac County. The increase follows recent shifts in gasoline supply & demand. Upper Michigan's Source
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Marquette Mountain redesigned its field trip program for UP students to include skiing lessons, equipment rental and a science element that meets school curriculum requirements (at about $20–$30 per student). - ➤ Ishpeming Ski Club celebrated its 139th tournament and 100th anniversary of Suicide Ski Hill with a ribbon-cutting at the U.P.
