On Saturday, nonprofit Kindness Rocks U.P.
Michigan raised over $22K to help former Race Ramps employees by distributing checks that ease their financial stress as they search for stable work in Escanaba.

On Saturday, over 100 athletes from five Special Olympics programs competed in the U.P.
Regional Winter Games at Rippling River Resort and Marquette Mountain, taking part in snowshoe, skiing and snowboarding events. Some athletes will advance to state winter games in Traverse City on Jan. 29 to Jan. 30.
The Iron Range Hockey Association held its annual Jack Frost Jamboree at Negaunee Ice Arena on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. About 220 players from local and neighboring areas competed in 8U and 6U teams while the high school hockey team raised funds with raffle tickets.
