The Upper Michigan Ice Racing Association will kick off its season tomorrow at the racetrack on 150 West Johnson Lake Road in Gwinn, where competitors from four years old to adults can race for trophies + cash prizes.
Admission is $10 per car.
Marquette Mountain Resort saw a strong New Year’s turnout despite a day-long lift closure due to a blizzard; crews are moving snow on the east side and it reopens tomorrow.
The resort offers a $55 package + lesson deal for new skiers during January.
